As a member of the Assembly Working Group on Human Trafficking, Chris Lyttle supported the Human Trafficking Bill and the ongoing fight against this human rights abuse.


cost of division

On 8 December 2014, the NI Assembly passed the Alliance Party's motion to investigate and curtail the estimated £1.5 billion cost of division in Northern Ireland. As Alliance OFMdFM spokesperson, Chris Lyttle decried the toll, demanding that every executive department take action against desegregation.


My Assembly Question to the DUP Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster on the removal of the Tourism Events Fund for 2015/16 is detailed below.

Enterprise Minister Assembly Topical Question (Events Fund)

Mr Lyttle: I ask the Minister of Enterprise, Trade and Investment how she can justify her 100% cut to the tourism events fund for 2015-16, which threatens around 65 organisations across Northern Ireland that contribute to important events and festivals that do much for our tourism, society and economy.(AQT 1583/11-15)


On 30 September, the Northern Ireland Assembly unanimously supported the Alliance Party's motion to include the Kincora Boys' Home in Westminster's inquiry into sexual abuse. Chris Lyttle, one of the motion's sponsors, spoke of the urgent demand for justice for the victims.
