Animals Matter

As a vocal animal rights supporter and Vice Chairperson of the Assembly Working Group on animal welfare, Lyttle has endorsed the League Against Cruel Sports' campaign to end dog fighting for good.

Young at Art, one of Northern Ireland's leading children's arts organisations, has a full schedule of events for youth this spring Lyttle is encouraging all young people in East Belfast and beyond to participate and try their hand at something new.

In line with my commitment to improve animal welfare in Northern Ireland I have continued to monitor progress on the joint Department of Justice and Department for Agriculture review of the implementation of the Welfare of Animals Act.

The Belfast Bikes scheme going live on Monday 27 April at 6am is great news for our city. Public Bike Hire has been a great success in other major cities and this is a real highlight for Belfast.
